Every child is unique and every child deserves the opportunity to
make their mark on the world.

Bright Start helps make that happen.
But we need your help too.

Be involved

Sponsor

Sponsor a child through either pre-primary, primary or secondary school.
Receive regular updates, get to know your child and their family, or if you prefer, remain anonymous. You will be empowering a family and a community.

Donate

A monthly donation is the most effective way you can help us keep the bus running, provide internet access for homework and keep our staff helping our children. Or a one-off gift to fund an outing, stationery or school uniform.

Fundraise

Make Bright Start your beneficiary, whether it’s a cake sale at school, a sponsored run or cycle, or ask for donations instead of a birthday present this year.

Bright Start Challenge

Take part in this fun challenge. Join in with your friends, family, classmates, colleagues or neighbours and raise funds through participating in our 14 day challenge.

Volunteer

Volunteers from the UK and Europe regularly provide the small Bright Start team in Cape Town with additional capacity.  While the global pandemic has put a stop to travel for now, our team in South Africa looks forward to once again welcoming volunteers!

Legacy

If you would like to leave a legacy, please consider making a bequest to Bright Start in your will so a child’s education can be sponsored in your memory. This is how lives are changed.

Please help

Changing things requires a collective effort. Please help us change South Africa together for the better.

One child at a time.
